Our architect, Alison Thornton-Sykes, of Jane Darbyshire and David Kendall Architects, has produced a first draft of plans for a new clubhouse to replace the existing dilapidated facilities at Meadow Park. The club management committee will be looking at the plans at their first meeting of the season on Saturday 22nd July, before the journey to our first pre season friendly at Shildon. After the committees comments and views have been considered a second draft will be produced and presented to the City Council Planning Department for approval, or suggestions for further amendments. Copies of the plans will be available for members to see in the clubhouse. Although a number of issues regarding our lease of Meadow Park remain to be settled, the Club is still planning to have the new Clubhouse built in time for next season, although maybe not the start!
