This coming Sunday, RCA Grangetown Florists welcome Liverpool Eden Vale FC, from the Ormskirk Sunday League, for this much delayed Second Round tie, after five previous postponements. The kick off is 1pm. RCA are now in their fifth season in this prestigious national competition and progressed to the second round with a hard fought victory over Northallerton Sportsmans FC. Eden Vale came through after losing to local rivals St Sebastians, but going through on appeal after St Sebastians were found to have played an illegible player.
Following Sunday's victory against Liverpool Eden Vale in the Carling FA Sunday Cup, RCA Grangetown Florists are quickly back in Third Round Sunday Cup action away to Nottingham T8’s FC this coming Sunday 13 January at the Rolls Royce Sports Ground, Hucknall, NG15 6EU. The kick off is 1pm.
Tonight's Durham County Challenge Cup match against Bishop Auckland has been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
Update: fixture rearranged for next Tuesday, 15 January, 7:30pm kick off at Meadow Park. This will mean that the away fixture against Benfield FC on Wednesday, 16 January will now be postponed.
In an effort to make entry to the ground as easy and quick as possible for the Northern League home fixture against Darlington, Saturday, 19 January, tickets will be available in advance. Ticket prices are unchanged from the club's normal price of £5 adults.
Fans will also be able to pay on the gate where the prices will be £6 adults and £3 concessions.
Adult tickets will be available from both clubs from this weekend. (There are no concession tickets because the price is unchanged on the gate.) Tickets are also available by post: please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Colin Wilson, c/o CSV / Springboard South Tyneside, 42a Fowler Street, South Shields, NE33 1PG. Cheques payable to 'Sunderland RCA'.

This is not yet official, but it is practically impossible to envisage that either Saturday's home match against Darlington in the Northern League or RCA Grangetown Florists' Carlsberg FA Sunday Cup tie away to HT Sports FC will go ahead.

RCA Manager Neil Hixon has used the weather enforced lay off to get busy in bringing in new players.
Forward Jamie Clarke has signed from Whitby. Keeper Eugene Ferry from Derry City has joined the RCA cause, along with attacking midfielder, Patrick McClean, brother of Sunderland AFC star James McClean.
