All at Sunderland RCA were very saddened to hear of the death of club supporter Alf Gibbons, who was taken ill at our home game against Whitley Bay. Our thoughts are with Alf's family.

There will be a minute's silence in honour of Alf before the kick off of  Tuesday night's game against Penrith.

A note for South Shields fans

Parking at the ground is very limited. Please do not expect to be able to park at the ground.

Generally, please do not attempt to park on Beechbrooke, it is self-defeating: our neighbours will be cross, the police will be called and you will be asked to move your car or worse.

There's a post on our fans forum which advises of better chances of parking at St Pauls Terrace, SR2 0HF and the bottom of Smith Street, SR2 0RG. Also, there should be plenty room on Burdon Lane.

Please click here for a map showing our ground and the surrounding area.

If you can, please consider coming by public transport. There are frequent bus services to and from Ryhope beginning and terminating at Park Lane Interchange in Sunderland: the 23 for Peterlee and Hartlepool, the 24 for Durham and services 60 and 9 for Parkside and Murton. Get off the bus at the stop after the village green and cut down the footpath between the houses and playing field on the opposite side of the road.
