Liam McBryde (Striker) returns to RCA after spells at Hebburn and Seaham Red Star:
Danni Lay (Central Defender) has signed after a pre season with Morpeth Town and youngster Lee Graydon (Utility) has joined the club after a number of appearances in pre-season.
A warm welcome to the three of them.

Sunderland RCA recorded their second Northern League victory of the season with a 4-2 win at newly-promoted Chester-le-Street - which included a "perfect" hat-trick from striker Stephen Callen. Stephen scored with left foot and right foot shots in the first-half, before completing his hat-trick with a powerful header in the second. Great stuff!

Due to Penrith and Dunston playing out a draw yesterday in the FA Cup, our match against Penrith scheduled for Tueday has been cancelled.
The date has been confirmed as Wednesday, 12th October 2016, for our 1st round match against Esh Winning in the Camerons Brewery Brooks Mileson League Cup.
SRCA have been drawn away to Billingham Synthonia in the first round of the Durham Challenge Cup. Match to be played in the week before Satuday 29th October 2016.
Meadow Park was honoured with the presence of the Secret Hopper on Tuesday night for the visit of Bishop Auckland. Not so secret as all that however; he came into the clubhouse to say hello before the game. Anyway his reflections on the match can be found on the Northern League web site, and very fair they are too if you ask me. Be interesting to compare with our secretary’s view of proceedings.
For those who don’t know, the Secret Hopper is the name of the writer, or writers, of the new Northern League blog, which goes under the name of A Life of Pie. Do have a look if you haven’t already, a new edition is up most days, it's well written, admirably objective and very handy for keeping in touch with what's happening round and about the league.
At the same time it is good to know, that the old blog, by our much respected former chairman, continues in a new guise as Grass Routes and it is well worth a look.
From my point of view I think both blogs are very welcome, and maybe it is a bit of a pity that the new regime at the Northern League don’t feel able either to host Mike’s blog, or provide a link to it from the League website. “Let a hundred flowers bloom", as old Chairman Mao said. Mind, he also said “change must come through the barrel of a gun” which is probably more appropriate for meetings of the Northern league.
Latest additions to the squad are Keiron Martin who made his debut on Saturday and Adam McGuinness who makes another return to the club.
