RCA have more returning players than pigeons to a pigeon fancier's cree.
Latest addition to the return brigade is goalkeeper Josh Carmichael who we have signed from South Shields. A warm welcome back to Meadow Park Josh. Also signing this week is Mark Robinson who is a promising central midfielder, with Johnnie Davis unable to play for the next three months due to work commitments the manager was keen to sign cover in that area and Mark fits the bill.
Welcome to the club.

Sunderland RCA striker Stephen Callen has reached 100 games for the club. The milestone came in the Durham County Challenge Cup match at Billingham Synthonia on October 26th 2016. Now in his third season with the club, Stephen is RCA's leading scorer in the current campaign with 9 goals in all competitions - despite missing 7 matches with a hamstring injury. A terrific achievement and here's to the next 100 games.
We have been drawn away to the winners of the match between Dunston UTS and Hemsworth MW in the next round of the FA Vase to be played on Saturday 3rd December.
Unfortunately the match against Penrith has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Following tonight's FA Vase second round match between Dunston UTS and Hemsworth MW, Sunderland RCA will travel to Dunston for the FA Vase third round tie. Dunston won the match 3-1 with a first half goal from captain Dale Burrell. Hemsworth had an excellent half hour spell in the second half, but failed to convert their chances. Dunston doubled their lead with eight minutes to go through defender Dan Capewell, however, Hemsworth pulled one back immediately through Nick Guest. Burrell then grabbed his second and Dunston's third in the final few minutes as Hemsworth pushed for an equaliser.
The FA Vase third round match - Dunston UTS v Sunderland RCA - is on Saturday, December 3rd, kick off 3.00pm. Get along and support the lads!
We play NCEL Premier League AFC Mansfield away in the Fourth Round of the FA Vase. The tie will be played on Saturday, 7 January, with a 3pm kick off.
The coach for the FA Vase trip to AFC Mansfield is now full.
The coach will leave at 9:30am from Meadow Park on Saturday, 7 January.
We aim to be back by 10pm all being well.
Sunderland RCA will travel to Northern League division two side Whickham in the Third Round of the Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup.
Last season - on a bitterly cold February night and with an FA Vase 'hangover' - RCA were well beaten 2-0 by Whickham in a Durham County Challenge Cup match, so will be looking for a much-improved result and performance this time around.
The match will take place on Tuesday, January 17th, with a 7:30pm kick off.
