So, right down to the wire, eh! Still not settled how things are going to finish for the season, and now we know there is almost definitely one club coming up, Birtley Town from the Wearside League; at least they have been trying for a while, and its not too far to travel, for those who can travel, almost counts as another derby match. Good luck to them, and lets just hope we are still there to welcome them into the Arngrove Northern League for 2007/08. I'll not be going anywhere in a hurry, that's for sure.

Is this what Sir Alex calls squeaky bum time? Good run of results followed by a failure to score goals costing us dear, and now even Alnwick have started to pick up points. Steady ship needed through these last few weeks or it could still be the big drop!

So are freelance gate welders standard issue in these parts? Or is everybody round here nuts?

Is it believable? That someone, who holds an apparently responsible position, should send men round to weld gates together so balls can’t be collected when they go over fences; give me strength, Lord, give me strength.

Don’t let the b******s grind you down, but do let them grind the gates open, that’s what I say.
