..... let’s turn to Colin Larkin, Sunderland RCA’s former Irish youth international who’ll be 37 next week.

RCA were at Guisborough Town on Grand National day, Colin happy to “buy” a horse in the clubhouse sweep.

It came second, Colin won a tenner and Guisborough chairman Don Cowan texted to ask how they might get the National treasure to him.

Colin, who enjoyed an extensive Football League career, insisted they use the money to let a couple of loyal supporters in free or put it behind the bar to buy them a drink – “it’s they who keep us smaller clubs going.”

Well done Larks!
