Are loan players allowed to play in County FA competitions? I know they are not allowed to take part in National FA competitions ie James Talbot is ineligible for the FA Vase.

Yes Loan players are allowed to play in the Durham Challenge Cup so long as they have not played in the previous rounds of the competition.
Therefore James Talbot is able to play in the competition.
Glen Lane and Jack Pounder are cup tied.
Mark Hunter, Joseph Melvin and Wayne Buchanan are all available if selected.
