Pressure from editors and printers to produce stuff for matches week after week, is this fair on an old, not getting older nowadays admittedly, gadgie who would just like to turn in his grave now and then? How the retired old boy who does the website blog every day I've heard of manages I will never know. Anyway, surprisingly little happens in this graveyard when there is no match on, which of course is most nights of most weeks, but Tuesday night was all action. Never seen a crowd like it since the old cop shop caught fire, and by all accounts the other neighbours weren't too chuffed. Parking all akimbo and certain parties blowing horns and such like.
Absolute disgrace, but I sort of think if you go round pinching footballs you might get a bit of dusty answer if you start whinging. Just a guess of course. Good neighbours, eh? Priceless. Or maybe not, perhaps the club could buy them off? Must have sold enough Bovril on Tuesday to put together a decent bribes package? Get them all to move out and increase the size of the car park? It will be needed when the crowds go up to 500 in the old Northern Premier League. Just a thought to make the hairs rise on the necks of the local councillors...
And I hear the lads from the old electric board have completed their deliberations and come up with a price for increasing the supply. Wonder who will end up paying for that. Or will we continue to watch the games in the gloom? Might be an improvement....
