The game today takes on a different meaning after the tragic loss of Richie Jordan, who played for both clubs and there’ are many close connections from both RCA and CW committees, management, players and supporters. A tragic loss and once again, from everyone connected with both clubs, our condolences go out to Richie’s family and friends at this sad time.

Richie Jordan

All at Sunderland RCA are devastated to hear of the tragic death of our old team mate Richie Jordan. Taken far too soon, but will always be remembered as a great lad, good friend and footballer. Our thoughts are with his family.

Always playing with a smile and great heart, Richie had two spells with RCA, the last in the 2014-15 season, when he signed from Crook Town. He also played for Ryhope CW and in the Sunderland Sunday League with RCA The Barnes.
