I see that the club has secured a coach for away days from next season - does that mean promotion is the ambition in forthcoming seasons?

Ambition or not, promotion is either the penalty or the reward for a successful club at Step 5 of the National Leagues System. I would be happy for a place in the FA Vase Final at Wembley.
