Photographer for Sunderland RCA

Submitted by Tim Robinson on Thursday, 30 April 2015

After nine years trying to take pictures at Meadow Park and numerous other Northern League grounds and invariably missing the goals our photographer is hanging up his lenses and we are looking to recruit a new volunteer to capture the action on match days.

This is a great opportunity for a snapper who likes football. It could suit a serious hobbyist or someone who is trying to develop their sports photography as a career. Your work would feature in our programme and posters as well as on our web site and in related social media.

If you are interested in this role please drop us a line using the contact form selecting the ‘Web site, photo comment or enquiry’ category. To avoid misunderstandings we’ve attached a detailed brief of what we are looking for and how we work so you can judge whether this voluntary opportunity is for you.

Changes at Sunderland RCA

Submitted by Rob Jones on Friday, 20 March 2015

Manager Martin Swales with Colin Larkin, who has joined the RCA coaching team.

The club would like to announce that Colin Larkin has agreed to join the management team as a Player/Coach to assist Ian Smith.

Colin, currently has his level 2 qualification and is working towards his Level Three/UEFA B.

Martin Swales SRCA manager said "This shows Colin's commitment to the club, not only will he be an asset on the pitch he will have the opportunity, along with Ian, to impart his extensive knowledge to players off the pitch."

Martin has also been busy in the transfer market and the club would like to welcome back, and not for the first time, Lee Owens and Callum Charlton.

Both players have signed from local rivals RCW, whom we sincerely thank for their assistance, to give a little more depth to the squad as we push to avoid relegation.

They have signed on a game by game basis, as and when required by the management team.
