Reece Noble in action against Guisborough Town last season.
As the season draws to a close, Sunderland RCA have three matches at home in the coming week:
On Saturday, 28 April, we host Guisborough Town, with a 3pm kick-off. No guarantees, but recent matches between the two sides have been cracking encounters with goals, goals, goals. Last season, in the corresponding fixture, RCA were beaten 4-2 by Guisborough, and this season, at the KGV, RCA won a thrilling match 4-3 with terrific goals from Nathan O'Neill and Colin Larkin, who grabbed a brace apiece.
RCA are currently on a seven match unbeaten run, whilst Guisborough are unbeaten in five.
On Monday, 30 April, we host Bishop Auckland, just days after the 6-0 thumping we inflicted at Heritage Park. kick-off is at 7:30pm.
Finally, on Thursday, 3 May, Jarrow Roofing are the visitors to Meadow Park for RCA's final match of an excellent season, again with a 7:30pm kick-off. RCA lost at home to Roofing last season, despite dominating the match for long periods. This season, however, we won 5-2 in the away fixture with a terrific late flurry of goals.
Both Bishop Auckland and Jarrow Roofing will be giving it their all in a bid to avoid finishing in the bottom three.
We also travel to Newton Aycliffe on Wednesday evening, 2 May, for a 7:30pm kick-off. Last season RCA produced a brilliant comeback at Moore Lane, winning 3-2 after being 2-0 down with only half an hour of the match remaining.
Please come along to support the lads who have had a great season and have easily beaten last season's league position and points total, playing some fantastic football in the process.
