Signings for 2014-15 (Updated 14/07/2014)

Submitted by Rob Jones on Monday, 30 June 2014

Another signing from last seasons squad.

Kyle Morris has re-signed and tells me his ankle problem is a thing of the past and we should see a lot more of his true playing ability this season.

Added last night: 08/07/2014.

A warm welcome is extended to:

Ross McNab, 18 year old local lad, left sided player who can play in defence, or attack. Recently released by Middlesbrough FC. (grandson of the late Jim McNab, Sunderland AFC)

Stephen Halliday, has signed again and adds his usual flair in mid-field.

Alex Smith, has also signed again a young local lad who looks to have improved from last season could be pushing for a Central defensive role in the pre season friendlies.

More Signings: 04/07/2014

Ross Preston, Alex Wilson  (Ex Brandon), David Henderson (Easington CW), Stephen Callen (Wearside),   Christopher Thompson (Ryhope CW), Matthew Thompson and  Arron Wilkinson (local Football).

Further signings awaiting International Clearance.

Next to sign: Jonathan Carmichael (Goalkeeper)

Training 7.00pm Thursday, 03 July 2014.

A welcome back to the new season and it was great to see so many of last year's squad at the first pre season training session showing their commitment to SRCA.

Players who have signed to date are: John Jury, Daniel Wray, Phil Horsman, Andrew Brown, Jack Stanger, Callum Patton, Kyle Fryatt and Joseph Hughes (from last year's squad).  Added to these is Carl Morris (goalkeeper previously with Brandon). He played in John Smith's Memorial charity match against Seaham Red Star.

The above are joined by the two already signed Gary Wood and Lewis Wood.

Next training session is Tuesday, 1st July 2014. 6.45pm at the ground.
