31/10/15 Silsden v RCA. Will there be a bus on?

Thanks for the text, I intend partaking of the proferred transport. In other words I'm happy go on the bus.

Anyone who has never driven past Blubberhouses should take air-sickness pills!

Bet Victor has the CA as favourites to win Saturday's tie:  9/2 Home win, 3-1 Draw, 4/9 Away win

Great result, enjoyable day out to boot. Next round to be drawn Monday 2nd Nov and played 21st Nov. For future reference, these are the dates of the remaining rounds: R3 12th Dec, R4 9 Jan, R5 30 Jan, R6 (QF) 20 Feb, Semi-final 1st leg 12 Mar, Semi-final 2nd leg 19 Mar, Final 22 May. (Just in case anyone (!) wants to plan holidays, tha nars wink)

It was the nicest ...relaxed set up I have ever seen in football. If Carlsberg made a football advert on ...nice days in FA Vase.....Silsden is the place ! Let's see where we are going next.....hope to avoid North East rough and tumble. After you sir....no after you !

Just thought that the faithful would like to share in the Emails sent between two clubs after yesterday's encounter.

Hi John,

I just wanted to pass on the sincere thanks of everyone associated with Sunderland RCA to everyone at Silsden for their warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome.

While the result went our way on the day it was the little things off the pitch that made the day special to us and our suppoerters. as one said on the coach going home "it was a pity to win against such nice people".

Hopefully the rest of the season will see a change in fortune and if the team perform like they did yesterday against us then you should have no problem moving up the league.

Good luck and best wishes from all at Sunderland RCA.

Regards

Rob Jones

Hi Rob

Many thanks for this.
Despite the result we enjoyed being your hosts.
Hopefully we will play each other again maybe at yours hopefully with a different result next time!

Good luck in the next round and for the rest of the season from all at Silsden FC

Kind regards.
John

Spot on Owen and Rob. Silsden AFC people were terrific hosts and lovely people.

It was a great day out. Leo, the coach driver, said he had really enjoyed it too. It was a nice touch for him to drop me off at Heworth.

A key reason for it being a great day out and a successful one is the fantastic team spirit at the club and amongst the players and management. Like gold dust, that. Well done Swaz, Gee, Ian and Colin.
