FA Vase 3rd Round Proper

Forums:

Matches are scheduled to be played on Saturday 12 December 2015 (can't wait!) which necessitates the re-scheduling of the league fixture at Shildon.

The draw will be made on Monday 23rd November and will be published on the FA web site, around lunchtime on that day.

Watch this space.

Sunderland RCA v Tadcaster Albion or Worksop Town.

Currently first and second in the premier division of the Northern Counties East League.

I've been told that the match between Worksop and Tadcsater in the league a few weeks ago was a bit of a feisty affair, mass confrontation between fans after the game. Not sure what to read into it other than it appears to have been instigated by Worksop fans and that both clubs are working together to find the perpetrators and punish them.

When I was at Horden we played Worksop in the FA Cup and they brought about 400 fans, no trouble, although one poor lad was so drunk he fell asleep in the stand just before the kick off and didn't wake up until after full time when his mates carried him to the mini-bus.

Worksop won 4 - 0 but didn't score their first goal until the 70 minute and then scored two in injury, this was mainly due to a terrific performance by Steve Tierney in the Horden goal.

The Tadcaster Albion v Worksop Town tie was postponed again last night and the FA has directed it to to be played at Tadcaster on Tuesday 1st December, which is only 11 days before the date of the 3rd round. If they were to draw next Tuesday, I wonder when the replay would take place?

I believe if it is postponed again the FA will dictate where and when the game will be played.

I believe if it is postponed again the FA will dictate where and when the game will be played.

I'm sure that until just recently, two postponements of a FA competition tie invoked the reversal of the fixture to the "away" team's ground. Current rules say it's up to the FA's discretion, which covers a multitude of possibilities.

Information given from the FA regarding The Brewers' FA Vase tie with Worksop Town.

The FA have stated that there will be a pitch inspection tomorrow between 3pm & 3:30pm ahead of the scheduled Second Round FA Vase tie with Worksop Town.

The FA have also instructed that if this is postponed, the match will be rescheduled for Wednesday 2nd December in which an inspection will be held between 3pm & 3:30pm again.

Then if it is postponed on Wednesday then it will be rescheduled for Thursday 3rd December with a pitch inspection at the same time as previously mentioned.

If the tie is postponed on Thursday then it will be rescheduled for Tuesday 8th December and good news, it is supposed to be sunny.

We are doing everything we can at the minute to get tomorrow night's game on so fingers crossed we can finally get given the green light for this long awaited FA Vase tie.

Further updates tomorrow on social media as soon as we get it.
